How Many Different Orgasms Are Out There?
Not only the source but also the sensation matters

Hey sexy readers,
I was thinking about orgasms lately. A lot. It’s been a little lonely alone with no end date in sight - taking away my real options to real-life dating and even casual sex. So I am left to my own devices and to my own thoughts and memories. Thankfully, I have a lot to think back on - so this is what I did when I started to list and categorise how my orgasms feel.
When you talk about orgasm types, it’s quite usual to list the source of pleasure to fit them into categories. According to some sources, there are 4 main types (clitoral, G-spot, cervical, female ejaculation), according to other sources you can list up to 12 different types. The 4 sounds a little too simplified (what about mental orgasms without physical stimulation?) and the 12 sounds a little overboard for it takes into account the mixed ones. Without being too pragmatic about it, with all the permutations you would get a lot bigger number, but let’s not go there.
Talking to guys about how their orgasms feel, I had to realise that our capacity to go through different experiences frequently, is something that I took for granted. I had thought that male orgasms differ just as much, and not just in their intensity, but also in nature. From what I heard (but feel free to educate me) the female orgasm can be a lot more layered and it inspired me to try to collect how my sensations range. Of course, it might be different for every woman, if just for the capacity of describing them with different words, but all of them are great.
I read about Emma Austin’s laughing orgasms and I was blown away. How amazing that must be! I never had a laughing orgasm but I can relate to releasing the tension — that I do differently but it still feels related somewhat. And then I read about how Meaghan Ward sometimes masturbates after sex. And I related to that lingering hunger wanting some more.
I can’t stop marvelling at the female body and mind — blessing us with such wide range of emotions and bodily sensations, depending on our mood, the time of the day, our hormonal state, our tiredness, our arousal.
